Shutter speed merupakan salah satu penentu ketajaman foto yang Anda ambil. Foto sering dianggap sebagai seni gambar diam sehingga menyebabkan foto hampir selalu dituntut untuk menampilkan momen-momen beku. Padahal, foto seringkali menunjukkan ekspresinya ketika tidak semua bagiannya terlihat tajam. Oleh karena itu, alangkah baiknya jika kita memahami fungsi dari shutter speed.
Penggunaan shutter speed akan menentukan kesan yang didapat dari sebuah foto, apakah diam atau bergerak. Dalam kamera DSLR, terdapat berbagai tingkatan shutter speed. Contohnya pada kamera Canon Digital EOS 350D, pilihan shutter speed-nya mulai dari 30 detik sampai 1/4000 detik. 11. If you plan to edit every picture you took heavily with software. Just sell your camera and buy a good computer system and a pocket digital camera.
12. The more often you bring bad photo to photoshop, the more chance you have to become a really bad Photographer.

Macro with “reverse lens”

Lagi pengen ‘learning-learning macro photography’ ni… Tapi lagi-lagi kepentok ma masalah duit buat nyiapin persenjataannya. Yah…tapi fotografi ga’ diliat dari alatnya koq, lebih ke ide, kreativitas, teknik ‘n hasil akhir kalo menurutQ. Jurus jitu buat ngakalin lensa macro yang mahal banget harganya, we call it “reverse lens”.
Mungkin awalnya pada bingung liat fotoQ yang di atas, tu lensa apaan? Koq disambung-sambung? Dibalik lagi masangnya…..
Hello…ya itu lah yang disebut teknik nge-reverse lensa alias ngebalik lensa. Biasanya yang di balik tu lensa fix 50mm, cuma di foto yang di atas tu aQ lagi eksperimen nge-reverse lensa 75-300mm. Hasilnya jadi bisa deket banget tapi malah susah. Selama ini kombinasi paling enak menurutQ ya lensa kit 18-55mm ma lensa fix 50mm. Yang 18-55mm dipasang di kamera, yang 50mm di-reverse. Hasilnya lumayan deket, OK lah pokoknya…ga’ perlu beli lensa macro beneran. Tapi yang rada susah kalo motret serangga atau apalah yang kecil ‘n gerak-gerak, DoF-nya tipis sih….jadi sering blur.

Hijaukan Bumi Kita….

Tanggal 28 November tu Hari Menanam Pohon Nasional. Tahun 2008 ini pas banget kena hari Jumat, bener2 hari yang penuh dengan kebetulan. Awalnya cuma dikasih tau ibuQ kalo bakalan ada penghijauan di lereng Merapi sebelah selatan. E…e…kebetulan banget pas hari itu dosenQ ke Malaysia, jadi bisa ikut penghijauan ni, sekalian motret2 kalo ada yang menarik. Tapi malez juga kalo berangkat sendiri, untung ada Apip yang nemenin. Kebetulan lagi…dia juga suka hiking ma fotografi. Berangkat dari rumah jam 6.30 pagi, langsung ke rumah Apip. Gara2 di jalan rada macet (maklum hari kerja) ama mesti mampir rumah Apip dulu, jadi sampe di tempat kumpulnya (Lapangan Tritis) dah jam 7.30. Pertama sih ngebayangin klo acaranya bakalan molor mulainya, e…e…ternyata on time. Gara2 ni hari Jumat kali ya…takut nabrak jumatan.
Sampe di sana, upacara dah di mulai. Habis tu para peserta yang terdiri dari siswa SMA, pecinta alam, dan wakil dari beberapa instansi di Sleman diberangkatin. Sebenernya pengen tanya sih, kelompok yang dapet rute terjauh mana, biar bisa dapet view paling deket ma Merapi. Tapi ya gimana lagi, peserta dah jalan, ya langsung nimbrung aja. Track yang dilewati dah ga’ begitu asing, maklum dah pernah tracking lewat situ.
